My friend and roommate from Provo, Lindsay, tagged me, so here, in no particular order, are my lists of five:
5 Joys:
1. My wonderful and adorable husband, Greg, our new baby boy (ETA, Oct 23), and my family
2. Hosting parties for family and friends
3. Traveling
4. Finding fabulous things on sale
5. Decorating my home for the holidays, Christmas being my favorite, followed by Halloween
5 Fears:
1. Losing Greg, our baby, or my family
2.Frogs-yes, I know it's ridiculous, but they terrify me to no end.
3. My teeth being knocked out
4. Getting caught on fire
5. The upcoming labor and delivery of my baby (maybe more nervous than fearful)
5 Obsessions:
1. Trying new recipes-especially baked goods
2. Buying baby clothes and shoes-Greg is hoping this ends soon!
3. Getting my house organized and decorated-still a work in progress.
4. Sewing-who knew how fun it could be? (Other than my mom, who was dying to teach Amy and I how to sew when we were younger). I love it, because I am able to have exactly what I want. I've made 2 pairs of curtains and some table runners so far. I haven't decided what my next project will be.
5. Clearing unfinished time off of the microwave-it should always have the clock time on it, not seconds left : )
5 surprising facts:
1. I went backpacking through Europe using my college back pack for 3 weeks with my friend Sarah.
2. I've been bungee jumping, sky diving, and am a certified scuba diver.
3. I'm only allergic to one thing-self-tanner. (My only hope for a "safe" tan, and it makes me break out in hives-my hopes of being a bronze goddess will never be fulfilled).
4. I've had my picture taken with Rob Thomas from Matchbox 20 and Jordan Knight from New Kids on the Block (and yes, I was over 20 in both of them).
5. I haven't had a Diet Coke since February 6, 2008. This is huge-I used to be a 3-4 20 oz bottle a day Diet Coke gal!

You are my hero...NO DIET COKE! WOW!!!!! I still have to have two cans a day! I know you had to do it for the baby!
And this is why I love ya, cuz you're so cool! It made me really miss my Meli when I read this. We really do need to chat before baby arrives!
How come all my former roommates are amazing seamstresses and I had no idea? I want to see some pics of what you've made! And great job on breaking up with diet coke. I'm very impressed, cuz I know how close you two were.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a fear about teeth...seriously, my one recurring nightmare is that all my teeth fall out. It's terrifying!
Oh my goodness- I've never been tagged! I am so nervous....
and someone should let Becky know that I am not an amazing seamstress. I am amazing at keeping torn stuff and waiting to see my mom to ask her to fix it though. Geez, I need to grow up.
So fun to see your blog, Melissa! You and your husband are an adorable couple. You should have the picture big! :) Congrats on your baby boy! They are SO much fun! I hope all goes well with your delivery. And when did you meet Jordan Knight? That was my dream as a 14 year old. :) Can I add you to my links list? It would be fun to keep in touch!
I saw the new curtains and runners and meant to tell you how cute they were. I am super impressed because I really can't sew anything.
