About three weeks ago my dad Terry and grandpa Max came out to me graft our apple tree. My dad brought some dormant clippings from our orchard out in Utah. While they were here I decided that as long as we were working on the apple tree, we might as well plant the garden that Meli and I have long talked about. Meli's dad Quentin and my brother-in-law Todd came over to help as well.

Dad digs a hole for one of our fruit trees while Todd tills the ground.
Grandpa Max supervises me load the tools back in the pickup.
And here is our garden this morning, just over three weeks after planting.
Here is our apple tree. As you can see, at least two of our grafts have taken and are starting to grow leaves.
